To Be Grateful

Not completely sure why, but today I felt the need to remember why it’s important to be grateful. Not just grateful in general, but grateful for who I am, where I am, and for whatever God has planned for me. I’ve found a few quotes that help to remind me about why this act is not only good for myself – my attitude and actions – but it can help those around me as well. I pray that I can only get better at being grateful and finding the good things in every day life.

“Gratitude is something of which none of us can give too much.  For on the smiles, the thanks we give, our little gestures of appreciation, our neighbors build their philosophy of life.” ~ A. J. Cronin

“If you concentrate on finding whatever is good in every situation, you will discover that your life will suddenly be filled with gratitude, a feeling that nurtures the soul.” ~ Harold Kushner
